ROPE WALL

Iyengar Yoga Institute of Pittsburgh
Experience standing & balancing postures using the support of the rope wall for greater alignment & opening. Class will also include neck & shoulder work on the wall. The style will be similar to supported asana classes, and class will include work away from the wall.

IREST YOGA NIDRA & PRANAYAMA

Develop a deep connection with your breath through pranayama. We will cover Viloma; Bhramari; Kapalabhati; Bhastrika; Nadi Shodhana & the realtionship of breath retention, Kumbhaka, with Savasana.
We will tie in the practice of yoga nidra with pranayama & explore the koshas for deep healing through the research based, trauma sensitive, practice of iRest Yoga Nidra.

LEVEL 1
An introductory Iyengar Yoga course. with standing postures, forward bends, twists & shoulder balance. This is class is open to new & seasoned students. Postures can be adapted according to your needs, goals & ability.
SHORT COURSE
Weeks 2-5 Neck & Shoulders
Weeks 6-9 Low Back & Hips
Weeks 10-12 Restorative, iRest Yoga Nidra & Pranayama
